Welcome to our 5th Down Syndrome Network of Arizona Buddy Walk! At 5 years of age, Joaquin started Kindergarten in August 2019. He likes school, but would much rather be at home playing with his cars, trucks, his dog D and Gramma's dog Gus. Life with my little sweet heart is nothing but amazing. He is full of love, smart and touches everyone’s heart that he comes in contact with.
The mission at DSNetwork is to educate, support and advocate for those in our community touched by Down syndrome. DSNetwork achieves this goal through an open, supportive and collaborative network that connects individuals and families with needed resources and information.
DSNetwork has been supporting individuals with Down syndrome since 2002. From the initial diagnosis through school-aged years and beyond, individuals with Down syndrome and their families face a wide range of challenges and find themselves immersed in an ever-changing, often complicated journey to learn how to best support and nurture their loved ones. They are action-oriented – always striving to improve the options and opportunities available for people with Down syndrome. They are committed to ensuring that all individuals with Down syndrome have the opportunity to fully participate in society. Down Syndrome Network helps every step of the way.
I want to thank each and everyone one of you for your continuous support and love for Joaquin and the Down Syndrome Network of Arizona. Because of all of YOU, DSNetwork is able to accomplish its mission by helping all individuals with Down syndrome and their families. It means the world to me and I apreciate y'all so very much.
