Description
Come and join DSNetwork for the annual BUDDY WALK during ASU homecoming! This is our biggest event and annual fundraiser. This walk is a day filled with inspiration. Join 1,500 walkers in front of crowds of more than 20,000 at the ASU Homecoming Parade to show your support for acceptance and inclusion of individuals with Down syndrome. This event is open to all – parents, caregivers, friends, family members and individuals with Down syndrome. Volunteers are needed to help set up, sort t-shirts, assist walkers at registration, lead the parade, facilitate kids games and clean up. Food is provided, and this event is fun for the entire family. Please be flexible - TIME TBA until end of Oct. (For the past 2 years, the walk was in the middle of the afternoon, please plan to be available all day until we know the walk start time. The walk time is set by the TV stations and ASU Athletic Dept.). All volunteers must attend a volunteer orientation on Monday, Oct. 29th at 5:15pm at the Pyle Center in Tempe (Rural/Southern).
